Temps look better then the ranges I found previously. Guess we will have to keep a log through out the years for our own records.

This blog will be all about my adventure of moving to Pilot Valley, just south of Montello, Nevada. I am going to post all of my Research I have done in a short time, so that others that want to move to the area, will have the ground work to make a good choice and know up front that there are and will be challenges. We must learn from each others mistakes, that way we do not fail.
Brian,
ReplyDeleteOn my two trips out there one had a mild breeze (probably 3 m.p.h.) and the second trip over two days was very windy...easily 17 m.p.h.. I talked to Geoff about the wind conditions and he said it blows a decent amount out there. I saw one ranch that had a wind mill. Next time I'm out there I'm going to stop in and see what kind of success they have with power generation. My experience combined with Geoff's comments left me believing there is plenty of wind to generate power. If supplemented with solar panels, I think a small windmill would be a cost effective means of power generation.....something to think about.
